Ways To Enjoy Your High Protein Cookie

About Me
Delicious, Nutritious Health Foods

I’m a huge fan of health foods. On cold, dreary mornings, I absolutely adore making a bowl of hot, gluten-free oatmeal. When the weather is warmer, I love to munch on gluten-free corn or rice cereal for breakfast. Sometimes, I eat my crunchy cereal with almond milk or lactose free cow’s milk. Like my sweet husband, I am addicted to rich, dark chocolate. Besides being delicious, this healthy, decadent food is packed with filling fiber. It contains health benefiting antioxidants too. On this blog, I hope you will discover how much fun consuming health foods on a regular basis can be. Enjoy!

Ways To Enjoy Your High Protein Cookie

High protein cookies are the latest craze in giving your daily protein intake a boost, all while curbing that afternoon sweet tooth. They're easy to pop in your bag in the morning and are stable enough to stay in your car while traveling. While you can certainly open up your favorite protein cookie and enjoy it straight from the package -- or make your own at home -- munching on the same snack day in and day out can get old. Try some of these mouthwatering tips to help you enjoy your high protein cookie just a little more.

Spread on Nut Butters

Nut butter adds a creamy texture to a high protein cookie that might otherwise seem a little dry. A single tablespoon smear of peanut, almond, or cashew butter adds on just 90-100 calories, depending on which type you choose. Plus, you're also packing in an extra 3 grams of protein.

Make a Frozen Treat

Make yourself an ice cream sandwich, but without all the guilt of full-fat ice cream. Pick out your favorite low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt, let it soften up so it's spreadable, and pile it on your high protein cookie. Top it off with another high protein cookie to complete the sandwich and freeze until completely solid. Adding on a half-cup serving of low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt gives you about 140 calories and an extra 4 grams of protein. If you want to save calories, just skip the top cookie and have an "open-faced" sandwich. Or you can even cut a hardened protein cookie sandwich in half and save some for later -- like as a reward after your evening workout.

Use as a Crumble

High protein cookies make ideal crumbles for an array of foods and snacks. You can either break up your cookie by hand or freeze it and pop it in the food processor to break it up. These protein-rich crumbles make delicious toppers for Greek yogurt, frozen yogurt sundaes, smoothies, and cereal. Since you're going to find more and more ways to enjoy your protein cookie crumbles, make a batch and store them in your refrigerator or freezer. This way, you can grab a sprinkle and pack protein into anything you're eating.

High protein cookies are one of the most convenient healthy snack foods on the market. Since they're so versatile and are enjoyable in a variety of settings, you're probably never going to get tired of your favorite snack.
